Ru:natic were produced by HIDEAKI, former bassist of DAS:VASSER. The group, originally consisting of vocalist Sachi, bassist Charisma Kijin and guitarist Tokkiy, officially started activities two years after their formation. Sachi is rumored to have been in the band's first two demotapes, which are extremely rare to come by. He then left the band sometime around 2010, and was replaced by Tomo.
Tomo participated in the band's releases of 2010, but then sometime later he was removed from the band's official home page and blogs without any explanation. Drummer Nao was added to the band's lineup the same year. In 2011 Bassist Charisma Kijin took over the role of Vocalist with Tokkiy on Bass, but Kijin performed bass on recordings while Tokkiy performed bass during lives. In May 2011 after Nao's departure and the release of the promotional video for their song, 精神欲求不安定 (Seishin yokkyū fuantei) (re-recorded with Kijin's vocals), Ru:natic took a brief hiatus.
After a brief period of inactivity, guitarist Kei left the band, citing personal reasons. Fortunately, RounoiЯ bassist Shunka quickly filled in the empty spot that same night. Former drummer Nao returned to the band as a support drummer after the dissolution of his previous band.
In May 2013 Ru:natic returned to the music scene, releasing the live-limited single, 裏メニュー(海賊版) (Back Menu). The month after they left their managing label, Ele-Music, in order to be an independent band.
