This picture is from “Gackt Era" when Gackt was the vocalist. Years active of Gackt in the band was 1995-1999.

Trivia//  When vocalist Tetsu left in 1994, the band went on a year hiatus forming back in 1995 when Gackt is the new vocalist; also implying a new direction for the band when they used lots of European Classical influence not only in music but costume and performance too. Their Live Performances became very theatrical.

Mana-sama and his co-guitarist Közi from their previous band together formed MALICE MIZER. This picture is from the “Klaha Era" of the band history when Klaha became the vocalist.

The name of the band comes from “malice and misery" which comes from their answer to the question- “What is a human being?"- “human is nothing but malice and misery."
